International League for the protection of Horses (ILPH) chooses JVC to catch criminals and save horses lives

London (UK)

JVC is supporting the ILPH with the provision of a professional media package deal which includes a professional shoulder-mounted camcorder with high definition capabilities (GY-HD101).

As one of the world's leading horse welfare charities, ILPH works to improve the quality of life for ill-treated horses. If a rescue case is taken to court, ILPH needs to provide proof that abuse has taken place. In the past, cases have been lost because the quality of the footage was not good enough; this is why it is so important that they have the best equipment to work with. The ILPH now provides news channels with footage and interviews
relating to high profile cases, which raises the general awareness of the charity.
"The camera needed to be shoulder operated, but also light and portable as I would be working with our Field Officers when rescuing abused horses in potential volatile situations. Output was also required be of the highest quality and for broadcast use. The GY-HD101 ticked all boxes and many more", comments Basil Hayes, ILPH new media officer.
"The new equipment will be used to gather evidence for prosecution cases, and enable me to create micro-documentaries for both our web site and for general use. This will highlight equine welfare issues and lead to greater education of the general public in the problems faced".
