The Confair Event check-in/Information System is developed to promote paperless check-in and interactive information for both show organizers and the visitors to the events. During a show period, visitor who has downloaded its App and turned the Bluetooth on  his smart phone will receive instant event  or exhibitors’ information when pass by a stand where has a beacon device Installed  

The system employed the blue-tooth beacon technology that transmit information via bluetooth in distance from 10cm to 3 meters depend on defined power as well as the ambient factors in a venue.

This solution is innovated by the CITI (Center for IoT Innovation) team that leaded by Professor Chou and Ph.D. Candidate Sean Shieh in year 2015; the CITI is an inter-disciplinary research center of the NTUST.

The NTUST acts as the regional Industry-University Cooperation Center.  With development force and resources of 21 TVE (Technical Vocational Education) schools allied, the center can coordinate and help industrial and commercial enterprises locally and overseas to develop products from Taiwan with cutting-edge technologies and trends from time to time.
