Organised by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, the camera and DVR / NVR Excellence Awards help security industry players to better understand product performance in the two categories.

Mr Parson Lee, Managing Director for Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd said: “HD surveillance is becoming more widely used in the security industry so it is important for users to understand the products to make a wise purchasing decision. The Secutech Award offers buyers a platform to learn the difference among various products and understand the meaning of every specification.”

There are 37 products from 20 brands competing for the Camera Excellence Award. These include Brickcom, Everfocus, HI Sharp, Hikvision, Lilin, Panasonic, Sony, Vivotek and others. For the DVR / NVR Excellence Award, there are 16 entries representing 15 brands such as Calsys, Dahua, Faceid, Microdigital, Nexcom and others.

The awards will be judged by invited industry experts and Secutech international visitors and on 20 April 2012 the award ceremony will take place.

At the same time, the world’s only megapixel lens showcase debuts at Secutech 2012 to offer buyers a neutral view of lens selection. Leading brands such as Tamron, Kenko-Tokina, CBC and Baso will demonstrate their new launches.

Secutech 2012 is expected to attract 560 exhibitors from around the world to display products and services such as IP & HD surveillance, vehicle security, and access controls, in 35,000 sqm of exhibition space. More than 26,000 visitors are expected to attend the show.
