IDL wins International Achievement Award 2007
Middlesex, UK
The 9th Security Excellence Awards, known as the was organised by CMP Information and recognise the companies, individuals and teams who continually strive for - and demonstrate - professionalism.
Judging for the awards was carried out by a panel of senior representatives from the main security industry sectors. They awarded Integrated Design the 'International Achievement Award' in recognition of 'any UK company or individual showing an outstanding performance in export sales'.
A more than doubling of export sales over the last three years underpins the award-winning performance of IDL, manufacturer of the Fastlane range of entrance control products. The company undertook a highly targeted approach to its export drive, focusing on large cities with a high GDP and design-influenced construction market in north America, South East Asia and the Middle East. IDL researched each region to find out the most suitable route to market. To support the export initiative, new product development for local markets was fast-tracked while existing products were reviewed to simplify installation and maintenance for business partners.
Host Clive Anderson presented the 'International Achievement Award' to Mr Michael Bystram, sales & marketing director for IDL. IDL were running against Arup Security Consulting, D-Tec, Indigo Vision, VIDEF Security Consulting and WebWayOne for the award.
"Over the last few years IDL has developed its export strategy and the commitment to it has permeated through the whole company. This award is reward for the hard work and focus of the whole company and in particular to the dedication of our network of international business partners without whom this dramatic sales growth would not have been achievable" says Michael Bystram sales director
