Idis to launch Direct IP in Dubai

Dubai, UAE

Global surveillance specialist, Idis, will be making a debut with its innovative Direct IP surveillance solutions at next month's Intersec Expo in Dubai. The exhibition will provide a launch pad for Direct IP, supporting 2014 growth plans for the Middle East region.
Packaged as a one-stop-shop solution, the Idis Direct IP solutions, comprise of a range of cameras, network video recorders (NVR) and comprehensive video management software, and are designed to deliver unrivalled plug-and-play simplicity, combined with highest-quality performance, compatibility all at attractive pricing levels.

Presented across five dynamic “experience zones,” Idis will take visitors through each zone to demonstrate exactly how Direct IP delivers benefits across the entire security buying chain, from distributors, dealers, installers and integrators through to end user customers:

Direct IP is truly plug and play, offering an intuitive user interface similar to that of analogue systems in terms of configuration, usability and day-to-day operation. Visitors will learn how Direct IP eliminates the need for IP addressing and frees installers of the need to develop expert IT and network skills. The Idis team will be welcoming Intersec delegates to take the Direct IP simplicity challenge, by setting up NVRs and cameras to enable instant live HD streaming in a matter of minutes.

Intersec attendees will also see Direct IP NVRs performing five key pentaplex processes simultaneously, including real-time live monitoring and recording at HD resolution with no degradation of image quality, network interruption and little to no latency compared with competitive solutions.

Managed through Idis video management software, visitors will see in action how Direct IP enables integration with third party systems and devices such as access control, ATMs and point of sale systems. They will also be able to understand how Direct IP delivers cost savings across the entire security buying chain; through eliminating annual license fees, reducing the time and cost associated with installation, as well as bringing down training and maintenance requirements.

Providing a one stop shop solution, the Idis stand will feature all the necessary elements and accessories to build a complete Direct IP solution. This rich connectivity provides a powerful yet intuitive solution, appropriate for a wide range of vertical markets and applications. Direct IP eases the multi-product burden on distributors and installers, by offering a complete and end-to-end HD video surveillance solution.

“We looked at how the industry installs and operates analogue systems and realised that networked HD video surveillance had become far too complicated and expensive. With Direct IP, we have eliminated complicated configuration and reduced installation costs to ensure simple, everyday use—resulting in significant value across the entire security buying chain. Visitors to the Idis stand at Intersec will have the chance to clearly see that Direct IP is the next generation in HD surveillance,” noted, Albert Ryu, Vice President of Idis.
