Hiqview 4MP outdoor vandal dome

Taipei, Taiwan

Hiqview has extended its 4 megapixel range with a new outdoor vandalproof IP dome camera, the HIQ-5484. It is equipped with a 1/3" CMOS sensor, a 2.8-12mm @F1.4 vari-focal lens, an all-IP architecture and is housed in an IP66-rated weatherproof and vandalproof dome enclosure.

The images from the HIQ-5484 can be compressed into two formats, H.264 and MJPEG. Multiple resolutions are available: 2688*1520 / 1920*1080 / 1280*720 / 640*360. Under 4 megapixel resolution, the HIQ-5484 can create quality images at 30 fps @ 2688x1520 (4 megapixel) and in real-time. Users can choose a suitable streaming format to meet different environmental conditions.

As well as being housed in an IP66 rated enclosure, the HIQ-5484 also has an IK10 vandal-proof design for ensuring that the camera operates well under conditions where people might attempt to break or impair the camera.

Network deployment is both simple and quick via an installation tool, which searches for a device that is already connected to the internet. This feature alleviates the inconvenience of complex network settings. The built-in open platform web server provides remote users with real time video through  an internet browser. The camera offers PoE functionality as an option meaning that additional cables are no longer needed, but more importantly, it saves on space and the cost is also reduced sharply.

The HIQ-5484 features D-WDR and DNR technology to ensure images are clear in varying lighting conditions, and it includes 12 high power IR LEDs for illumination of distances of up to 20 metres - this features is also able to detect heat emitted from objects, making it a powerful tool to identify essential elements at night, such as people and vehicles.

It is delivered with a powerful VMS software, called Hiqview Vision which supports all Hiqview IP cameras and is able to manage up to 64 IP cameras.  The HIQ-5484 camera is suitable for monitoring 24/7 in open environments and important entrances, such as retail stores, car parks, classrooms, bank lobbies, and ATMs.
