Hiqview's HIQ-6551 is equipped with a 1/3.2” CMOS sensor, a 3-10.5mm @F1.4 varifocal lens and an all-IP architecture. The built-in open platform web server provides remote users with real time video through an internet browser.

The images of the HIQ-6551 can be compressed into two formats: H.264 and MJPEG. Multiple resolutions are available: 2592*1944/ 2048*1536 / 1920*1080 / 1280*720 / 640*360/ 320*240. Under 5 megapixel resolution, the HIQ-6551 can create quality images at 20 fps @ 2592x1944 (5 megapixel). Users can choose a suitable streaming format to meet different environmental conditions. 

For poorly illiuminated conditions the HIQ-6551 is equipped with IR LED illumination allowing for the generation of clear quality images even in dark environments and in night mode. The built-in 850nM IR LEDs (28 Units 5φ + 2 Units High Power), create a light source to illuminate distances of up to 30 metres for clear images under bad light conditions, and further allow for a powerful tool to identify essential elements at night, such as people and vehicles.

Digital Wide Dynamic Range (D-WDR) technology means that the HIQ-6551 performs well even under difficult light conditions, such as with strong backlight or dim light. Suppose the camera faces the sun, and a man is standing in front of it, usually the man’s face would be too dark to see. D-WDR uses different exposures for different objects, lowers the light contrast, and therefore can reveal the clear features of the man’s face.

Image noise can be caused by many factors, such as power interference, heat, and dim light sources, resulting in ineffective surveillance work. The HIQ-6551 can effectively remove the image noises by deploying DNR technology to not only create clearer images, but also to reduce video file size.

The housing of HIQ-6551 is rated as IP66, a water-proof and dust-proof standard, ensuring that the camera is suitable for installation and operation in outdoor environments.

For simple and user-friendly network deployment, Hiqview provides an installation tool with the camera that helps to search and configure devices that are connected to the internet. And, the camera accepts Power Over Ethernet (PoE);  PoE technology enables power and internet connection to be provided by the same cable. The HIQ-6551 is shipped complete with the  Hiqview Vision VMS (video management system), which supplies users with omni-bearing video management and surveillance to manage up to 64 IP cameras.
