Hiqview's HIQ-5481 outdoor vandal-proof dome IP camera is equipped with a 1/3" CMOS sensor, 3.6mm @F2.1 fixed lens, to reproduce multiple optional resolutions of 2688*1520, 1920*1080, 1280*720, and 640*360. The images captured by the HIQ-5481 can be compressed into two formats, H.264 and MJPEG. Under 4 megapixel resolution, the HIQ-5481 is designed to create quality images at 30 fps in 2688x1520 (4 megapixel) real-time. Users can choose the most suitable streaming format to meet different environmental conditions.

Digital Wide Dynamic Range (D-WDR) technology allows the HIQ-5481 to perform well under difficult lighting conditions, such as a strong backlight or dim lighting. When the camera is facing an object where there is a strong back-light, the D-WDR effectively lowers the light contrast to obtain a clear image of the object that would ordinarily be too dark to be seen. IR LEDs mean that the HIQ-5841 is capable of radiating invisible infra-red illumination for a distance of 15 metres after the sun has gone done, ensuring clear image reproduction in night mode or under bad lighting conditions. The IR technology can also detect heat emited from objects, making it a powerful tool to identify essential elements at night, such as people and vehicles.  

Image noise can be caused by many factors, such as power interference, heat, and dim light sources, resulting in ineffective surveillance work. By applying DNR technology the HIQ-5481 can successfully remove image noises to not only makes clearer images but also to reduce video file size.

The HIQ-5481 has an all-IP architecture. The built-in web server open platform provides remote users with real time video through an internet browser.   Network deployment is simple and quick. It is provided with the installation tool, which can search for the device that is already connected to the Internet. This feature alleviates the inconvenience of complex network settings.

PoE technology enables power and internet connection to be provided by the same cable. The HIQ-5481 features PoE connectivity meaning it can be installed at a location without power outlets and saves costs on system wiring. The camera is offered with a powerful feely bundled VMS software, Hiqview Vision.  This VMS software supplies users with omni-bearing video management and surveillance for IP cameras up to 64 channels.

The housing of the HIQ-5481is to IP66 standards, which means it is sustainable in wet and dusty situations, such as streets, car parks, or public squares. It is also designed to meet the IK10 vandal-proof requirments to prevent people from attempting to break or impair the camera.
