The Hiqview HIQ-5484 is equipped with a 1/3" CMOS sensor, 2.8-12mm @F1.4 vari-focal lens and having an all-IP architecture. The built-in open platform web server provides remote users with real time video through an internet browser. The HIQ-5484 is designed to compress images into two formats, H.264 and MJPEG that are available in multiple resolutions: 2688*1520 / 1920*1080 / 1280*720 / 640*360. It is possible for the users to choose a suitable streaming format based on the different bandwidth resources available.

The housing of the HIQ-5484 is rated as IP66, which means it is sustainable in wet and dusty situations, such as streets, parking lots, or public squares. The HIQ-5484 also has an IK10 vandal-proof design to ensure the camera  continues to operate well under conditions where people might attempt to break or impair the camera.

The network configuration of the camera is designed to be easy and hassle-free. The HIQ-5484 is also designed to support 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) for convenient installation as no additional power lines are needed. Consequently, this results in a total power line cost reduction for medium to large sized deployments.

Incorporated with digital wide dynamic range (D-WDR) technology, the HIQ-5484 performs well even under difficult lighting conditions, such as strong backlighting or in dim lighting conditions. Suppose the camera faces the sun, and a man is standing in front of it, usually the man’s face would be too dark to see. D-WDR uses different exposures for different objects, lowers the light contrast, and therefore can reveal the clear features of the man’s face.

Moreover, the HIQ-5854 can remove image noises through the power of digital noise reduction (DNR) - image noise can be caused by many factors, such as power interference, heat, and dim light sources, resulting in ineffective surveillance work. Theh HIQ-5484 removes image noises by applying DNR technology. It not only makes clearer images, but also reduces video file size.

In outdoor conditions, when the sun goes down, it is often difficult for some outdoor cameras to create clear images. On the contrary, the HIQ-5484, an IR camera, is capable of generating effective pictures in dark environments. The built-in 20M light source with 12 Units 5φ and 2 units high power IR LEDs enable the production of clear images under bad lighting conditions. The IR technology can serve as a powerful tool to identify essential elements at night, such as people and vehicles.

The HIQ-5484 also provides rich surveillance functions including alarm, SD card local storage, and 2-way audio. The GUI design is based on a user-friendly principle. In addition, the free-bundled 64 channel powerful VMS Hiqview Vision software is provided with the HIQ-5484 that offers the user the possibility to create their own video surveillance and system management from their PC.

The HIQ-5484 is produced for both day/night dual-purpose applications making it suitable for monitoring in open environments and important entrances, such as factories, retail stores, parking lots, classrooms, bank lobbies, and ATMs.
