Vandalism after hours is one of the critical issues in terms of security and protection for retail shops and stores. In order to address the growing demands in the retail sector of the market Hiqview has developed the HIQ-5388 outdoor vandal proof dome camera.
The HIQ-5388 is equipped with a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor and an all-IP architecture. The captured images can be compressed into two formats: H.264 and MJPEG. Under full HD resolution, the HIQ-5388 creates effective quality images in 1080p at 30fps real-time.
The built-in open platform web server provides remote users with real time video through an internet browser. Network deployment is simple and quick thanks to the inclusion of an installation tool, which allows the HIQ-5388 to automatically search for available Internet resources nearby to minimize any inconvenience caused by typical complex network settings.
As with all the other network cameras in the Hiqview product line, the HIQ-5388 features wide dynamic range (WDR) technology enabling it to perform well even under difficult lighting conditions, such as strongly backlit or dimly lit areas. The 14 built-in IR LEDs mean that the HIQ-5388 can offer IR illumination for objects within a distance of 15 metres from the camera. The Hiqview HIQ-5388 also deploys a specific IR technology that Hiqview says can detect heat emitted from objects, making it a powerful tool to identify essential elements at night, such as people and vehicles.
The camera is also offered with PoE, DNR, and the free-bundled Hiqview Vision VMS software. The fully featured HIQ-5388 IP dome camera has been produced for indoor/outdoor applications in retail stores, car parks, classrooms, bank lobbies, and ATMs.
