Megapixel network and HD-SDI solutions are two of the most discussed issues in the industry worldwide recently. "Megapixel network solutions send and receive data via a computer network." Dahua pointed out, "The internet, features advantages such as high image quality, easy cabling and long-distance transmission, which exactly compensates for the limitations of HD-SDI solutions." It is believed, that although the HD-SDI solution presents outstanding image quality due to its non-compressed transmission, the megapixel network solution takes prevailing advantages still for the time being.

The megapixel network cameras are offered in the range from 1.3Mp to 5.0Mp in various sizes and models. As for the HD-SDI line-up, Dahua have completed their HD-SDI portfolio with the newly introduced 1U/1.5U HD-SDI DVR series, in addition to their existing tried and tested model 2U HD-SDI DVR.
