Many major manufacturers have recognised end user demand for HD video, whatever the transport technology - hence they have embraced HD-SDI alongside IP cameras. Now, with the 2014 ratification of two new HDCCTV standards, the options for providing end users with a High Definition surveillance system are greater than ever. What does this mean for CCTV system designers and specifiers? Are HDcctv cameras cost-effective in IP-based systems? What are the ideal situations in which to choose megapixel IP cameras instead of HDcctv cameras? What will the HD system of the future look like?

These questions and more will be addressed during the HDcctv Alliance seminar, which takes place at 11.30am on Tuesday June 17 at the Smart Buildings Theatre, part of the Ifsec International Academy conference programme. Attendance is free for visitors to the show.
