H.264 stand alone DVR supports BlackBerry and iPhone

Nimax Telecom announces a brand new H.264 stand alone DVR that supports BlackBerry and iPhone network image access that can take surveillance anywhere you go with your mobile phone.
This stand alone DVR series is an embedded linux system and is available in 4ch, 8ch, 16ch models. They all use H.264 video compression to make good use of the limited hard disk space as well as the networking bandwidth. The DVRs support good quality images of all channels for real-time display and recording (at CIF, 480fps).

These DVRs are developed for intelligent 3G/GPRS mobile surveillance. Improved from earlier models, the H.264 DVRs now support remote access via BlackBerry and iPhone mobile devices. With easy log-in procedures, security supervisors and property owners are now able to carry out surveillance from anywhere as long as they carry their mobile phone.

These DVRs are user-friendly in desgin and operation and offer a multi-lingual OSD, with 15 languages. They work with a USB touch panel LCD Monitor (specified LCD models) for simple operation. The 8ch and 16ch models are available with a DVD writer built in; both also support external SATA HDDs for RAID. When using with PTZ cameras or speed domes, the DVR series support the control protocols from Pelco-D/P, AV Tech, Li-Lin, LG, Samsung, KND. More protocols are available on a custom-made basis. Firmware for the DVR can be easily upgraded via the USB port .
