Grundig to showcase new technologies

Remscheid, Germany

Grundig Security will use Security Essen 2014 to showcase its latest technology and IP product range developments, including facial detection and analytics, P-Iris image enhancement and the sophisticated Sony Exmor CCD sensors.

The new cameras benefitting from these technologies include 2 and 3 megapixel indoor domes, outdoor vandal domes, integrated bullet cameras, 6 megapixel fisheye and 4K (8M) box camera.

The exhibition display will feature retail and fuel station zones to demonstrate the new camera range in use in fuel pump, payment kiosk and shop surveillance environments.
P-Iris, automatic ‘precise iris’, is used to increase image contrast, clarity, resolution and depth of field. Sony Exmor CMOS image sensors provide detailed, sharp and natural images, even in poor lighting conditions. The Exmor sensor also has quad scan WDR, which improves sensitivity, and dual noise reduction (DNR) to significantly reduce image ‘noise’.

The new products being showcased include an 8 megapixel box camera, which is designed to deliver outstanding detail at an innovative 4K2K resolution, with built in facial detection. The 6 megapixel fisheye camera in the retail zone is ideal for shop overview and comes complete with de-warping software.  Indoor fixed domes, outdoor IK10 vandal domes and integrated bullet cameras have 2 megapixels, 3 megapixels and Exmor sensor options. Motorised auto-focus and zoom (AFZ) features on top models and IR LED illumination, quad video streams, SD/SDHC card slots, PoE and ONVIF Profile S integration are standard across the range.
