GKB Cloud IP solution ideal for group retail businesses

Taichung, Taiwan

Retail business is stepping up to the mark. How could a retail owner monitor hundreds of his shops from his office, whilst at the same viewing recorded video relevant to complaints that had occured at one of the stores miles away? With the Cloud IP platform solution from GKB, these requirements can be successfully and easily achieved.
The GKB's Cloud IP solution consists IP cameras, NAS storage device, IP Servers and Viewer-10 software. Once the GKB's Cloud solution has been installed, the chain store owner and/or their managers can each log in to the GKB cloud website from their individual office with their own ID and password, and monitor over 100 stores or branches. Each manager can be assigned a certain account to manage their own area with different authorisation levels. A single account ID is able to manage more than 200 cameras as a group; it is not necessary to type or remember the IP address of these cameras.

Through IE brower, users can easily retrieve and remotely playback from the SD card built-in to the IP camera and NAS (Network Attached Storage) devices. When users want to see playback images from NAS, they do not need to remember any IP addresses of the storage devices but simply use their access IP and password. Even if there are 100 NAS devices in the system at different locations of their branch offices, they only need their own account with password to manage the playback images from all of them. This is much easier and more time saving than ever.

By using NAS recording, users do not need to use an NVR PC when recording. For example, to install 3 or 4 cameras with one NAS device at a branch or store, in comparison it is not so expensive as an analogue system. Moreover, users will benefit from easy management and remote monitoring.

To record video through a local storage device and retrieve video archieves from HQ remotely also helps to minimise the use and requirements of network bandwidth. GKB provides Viewer-10 software allowing managers at HQ to download video from their remote branch/store to back up; instead of having to request video uploads periodically to a central office as with many others, this contributes to a much lower cost in bandwidth subscription from their ISP.

With GKB's megapixel IP cameras, the system offers a digital zoom function on screen over IE browsing. 'Detail image shooting' such as facial recognition is enabled from a PC; simply drag the desired zoom-in area via the mouse, even it is from a remote location, the enlarged spot will still be displayed as a crystal clear image.

GKB's Cloud platform offers two way audio, allowing the system superviser or shop manager to give orders and instructions to each branch as and when required.
