GKB's Aether Link is integrated with the cloud, an IP camera, a 4-in-1 sensor, and an alarm and mobile App. It is engineered for easy set up and customers can connect their smart phones to it via Wifi. Images will be instantly transmitted to the cloud platform and the storage can save up to 1000 photos. It features HD 720P and two-way audio, customers can check and control everything through their smart phones.

In addition to the benefits of convenience, the Aether-Link provides an early warning system, in that users are able to receive an instant push notification when something unusual is detected. Furthermore, the Aether-Link enables users to create their own house rules such as remote control of lights and appliances via the mobile App. The sensor has a device linking and situation setting feature, which allows the user to not only control the system remotely but also provides a "Real Smart Home."

The Aether-Link is suitable for applications such as house and villas, and also for retail stores. The Aether-Link will help users to pay attention to daily events and the detail of what happens on their premises and in their homes. As for retail stores, the Aether-Link has wireless z-wave technology, which is free from cabling, that can save the shopkeeper time and money. In addition, retailers could for example receive instant alerts if some unexpected situation happens, such as a door or windows being opened outside of opening hours.

GKB indicates that they will be integrating their new product line into existing smart home solutions. The company is aiming to create a positive differential between themselves and other suppliers through product customisation. GKB also suggests that in the future the AetherLink will possibly include a fire and smoke detection functionality to provide customers with a safer living environment.
