In 2016 the appeal generated upwards of £15.5 million in gifts and donations which were distributed to more than 360,000 disadvantaged kids across the UK.
With so many local children living in poverty this December, for many families Christmas is simply a luxury they can’t afford. This year’s Mission Christmas aims to beat last year’s fundraising total and help make sure it can help as many children as possible.
The GJD team joined hundreds of thousands of people in offices, schools and homes up and down the country as they sported a festive sweater for the day and donated £1 or more.
Mark Tibbenham, GJD’s Managing Director commented: “This is the second year in a row that GJD is taking part in Key 103’s Christmas appeal. Everyone is looking forward to having a festive day, whilst backing a fantastic cause to make a child’s Christmas special and give something back to the local community”.
