One of the main advantages of H.265 compared to H.264 is the 50% saving in data transmission and hard drive storage. This allows Genie’s new surveillance systems to offer 5MP recording across ‘every’ channel’, an ability that is not often included in other competing products on the market today.

Catering for different system requirements, the range offers high-resolution cameras from 3MP to 5MP. Cameras are available in various models including bullet, vandal dome, eyeball and PTZ. Smart IR illumination is offered as standard whilst vari-focal lens models are also available as an option.

Designed to work with the company's high resolution cameras the new H.265 NVRs are available in 4, 8, 16, 32 or 64 channel systems with some models equipped with built-in PoE functionality.
