Full HD IP speed dome with 18X optical zoom from Hiqview

Taipei, Taiwan

Hiqview is launching an indoor speed dome camera, the HIQ-7389.  This Full HD speed dome features a 1/2.8" 2M type Exmor CMOS Sensor and has an all-IP architecture. The built-in web server open platform provides remote users with real time video through an internet browser.

The HIQ-7389 has been built incorporating a 4.7 ~ 84.6mm @ F1.6 ~ F2.8, 18X optical zoom lens. The zoom function is high speed 18X optical, which means the lens actually lengthens and shortens when zooming at very high speed. By using an actual lens adjustment such as this it enables the HIQ-7389 to produce more realistic and clearer images in high resolutions.

The HIQ-7389 has been designed to be aesthetically pleasing as well as practical. It can support 360° continuous pan and 90° tilt remotely, so users can move the camera lens swiftly and elastically to the required monitoring areas. Furthermore, users are able to pre-programme different routine patterns for the pan/tilt action of this dome IP camera and carry out and activate those patterns to a required schedule.

The images of the HIQ-7389 can be compressed into three formats: H.264 / JPEG / MPEG-4. Multiple resolutions are available: 1920*1080 / 1280*720 / 640*480 / 320*240 / 176*144. Under full HD resolution, the HIQ-7389 is able to provide quality images at 30fps at 1080P  in real-time. Users can choose the suitable streaming format to meet different environmental conditions.

The HIQ-7389 is a very sensitive camera with low lux features supporting a minimum scene illumination in color with 0.05 Lux and minimum scene illumination in black/white with 0.005 Lux. This means that no matter whether it is day or night, when the environment light source is over 0.05 Lux, the HIQ-7389 is able to maintain colour images all the time. Furthermore, even when the environment light source is 0.005 Lux, the HIQ-7389 is still able to produce very clera black/white images for viewing.

The Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) feature of HIQ-7389 is important when monitoring strong backlight or dimly lit environments. For example, if the camera is facing the sun, and a man is standing in front of the camera, usually, because of the strong backlight, the man’s face would be too dark to identify. The WDR technology would use different exposures for different objects, making the light contrast much lower, and thus reveal the clear features of the man’s face.

Image noise can be caused by many factors, such as power interference, heat, and dim light sources, resulting in ineffective surveillance work. The HIQ-7389 removes image noises by applying DNR technology. It not only makes clearer images, but also reduces video file size.

The network deployment of HIQ-7389 is very simple. It provides the installation tool for searching for devices that are already connected to the internet. This feature alleviates the inconvenience of complex network settings.

PoE technology enables power and internet connection to be provided by the same cable. Therefore, this means that not only are power outlets are no longer needed, but more importantly, the space to place the IP surveillance system is saved, and the cost is reduced sharply.

The HIQ-7389 is bundled with powerful VMS software, which supplies users with omni-bearing video management and surveillance. "Hiqview Vision” is freely bundled with the company's IP cameras, and it is able to manage up to 64 IP cameras.

This camera is made with day/night dual-purpose, and is suitable for monitoring indoor environments such as retail stores, shopping malls, factories, hotels, hospitals, etc.
