FLIR Systems announces USD2 Million order to boost airport security

Portland, OR (USA)

FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announce that it has received multiple awards totaling USD2 million during 2007 to supply thermal security cameras to airports around the U.S.

FLIR's thermal and multi-sensor security cameras were selected for installation at major airports throughout the country, including Dallas-Ft. Worth, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and the New York area's four major airports -- Kennedy, LaGuardia, Newark and Teterboro. The installations are part of the Department of Homeland Security's domestic airport Perimeter Intrusion Detection initiative.

FLIR's thermal security cameras are well-suited to secure the long perimeters typically associated with major airports. Their performance features enable them to see intruders at night without expensive and intrusive lighting infrastructure making them flexible and effective airport security tools.

"These orders demonstrate the utility of our systems for high-value asset protection applications," says Earl R. Lewis, president and CEO of FLIR Systems, Inc "We are pleased DHS and airports around the U.S. have chosen FLIR products for this important responsibility"
