Fermax launches intuitive Smile monitor

Valencia, Spain

The latest new development from Fermax is an ultra-slimline hands-free Smile monitor that allows the user to manage its high performance options by simple intuitive gestures.
The Fermax Smile is a hands-free terminal full of new functionalities. An advanced management system for the home, providing high-performance and intuitive in operation, which takes the language of cutting-edge technologies as its own.

Above all its sophisticated interior is presented in the simplest way possible for the user. From an aesthetics and design viewpoint, the monitor is a smooth, flat white terminal equipped with a TFT colour screen and a keypad with such surprising features as an additional keyboard that remains invisible until the user needs it. The dimensions are engineered to give an extremely thin appearance with rounded corners allowing the device to convey an immediate impression of clean lines and elegance.

This clean design has been extended beyond the surface to achieve the best usability. The result is a user interface that offers simple and intuitive use. So much so, that the user is able to programme any of the equipment's several functions easily, with no need for previous instructions.

The Smile monitor comes in two different formats: with a 7” or 3,5” screen, both suitable for surface or flush mounted installation. In the former case, the monitor stands out 20 mm from the wall; if the flush option is chosen (in this case a frame is supplied to provide a perfect finish), the visible profile is only 4 mm.

Smile monitors provide normally advanced features as standard, such as different ringtones, the do-not-disturb option, panic call and elevator control, amongst others. And as usual in all products from Fermax, it has different elements to facilitate accessibility to everyone.

The Smile monitor series has been highlighted by the prestigious professional association ADI-FAD as one of the best designed products of 2013, and is a project by Ramón Benedito, National Design Prizewinner in 1992 and Fermax's Worldwide Design Partner.
