Scantec will distribute Pixim's complete digital imaging system, consisting of an image sensor, image processor, camera reference design kit, and key software and algorithms that allow camera developers to easily design and build high quality, advanced-featured cameras.

DPS technology converts light to a digital signal directly at the point of capture in the image sensor, enabling each pixel to have independent, optimized exposure times to deliver the highest image quality.
In addition, Pixim chipsets combine features that include excellent low light performance (0.5 lux in color), wide dynamic range (120dB max), a progressive scan imager with global shutter that minimizes motion artifacts and reduces compression bit rates, and high Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) even at high temperature
