Etherwan to release compact Gigabit Ethernet switch

Etherwan has launched a brand new Compact Hardened Unmanaged 4-port 10/100BASE (4 x PoE) + 2-port Gigabit Ethernet Switch, the EX42300 Series, a switching platform, designed for easy deployment in harsh environments.

The EX42300's slim design with DIN-Rail mount format allows easy installations at space-sensitive locations; the LED indicators on the front panel also display PoE, link, power, and alarm status for easy monitoring.

The 2 Gigabit uplink ports on the EX42300 provide full non-blocking switching performance to fulfill the expectations of critical applications such as, wireless AP connections, multicast traffic of machine control messages, or video surveillance systems that may require non-blocking uplink transmission.

The EX42300 is equipped with 4 PoE / PSE ports which are fully compliant to IEEE802.3at standard outputting up to 30 watts per port. Not only with superior PoE performance, the EX42300 is built in DC/DC power converter circuit which enables 24 / 48VDC power inputs for industrial applications.

Although unmanaged, the EX42300 provides IEEE802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and IEEE802.1p Quality of Service (QoS). There is also a DIP switch for enabling / disabling port fault alarm, broadcast storm and jumbo frame features.

In addtion, from -40°C to 75°C hardened operating temperature, the EX42300's circuit is specially designed for LAN port protection. The data ports can be fully secured when lightning strikes occur. This protection can be guaranteed no matter whether the power is given from a non-isolated or an isolated power supply unit, ensuring the EX42300 stays robust in harsh environments.
