EET Europarts acquires Avantis Distribution

EET Europarts is acquiring Scandinavian network distributor, Avantis.

The acquisition of Avantis Distribution is part of EET Europe's ambitious growth strategy within storage & network security.

Avantis Distribution is a niche distributor with special expertise in network and network security since 2010. The company has focused on delivering quality products within advanced wireless technology and solutions for network infrastructure security. Avantis has its head office in Oslo, and is represented with local sales units in Sweden and Denmark.

"We have succeeded in increasing storage & network security's business area in recent years and we have significantly expanded the product range. The acquisition of Avantis Distribution will further strengthen our wireless network and network security position and add new expertise and brands to our portfolio," says CEO, Søren Drewsen, EET Group.

"Our business strategy is ambitious and targeted, we want to increase the business areas both organically and through acquisitions. The Avantis acquisition is our 7th acquisition this year, as mentioned earlier, we are constantly looking for companies that show interest in being bought."

As part of the acquisition, EET Europarts will take over a team of experienced employees from Avantis Distribution. The employees will become part of the local EET Europe sales units in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, respectively.

"We are very pleased with the acquisition of Avantis Distribution. We have worked focused on developing our product range in storage, networking and network security," says Bjørn Berg, CEO of EET Europarts Norway. "Avantis specialises in advanced wireless technology and security solutions, which means we can now offer our customers even more cost-effective and stable wireless network and security solutions, and high-performance products. Wireless technology evolves continuously, and wireless communication is often used as a primary connection to applications and services. As the world becomes more and more wireless driven, it's important to focus on how to secure a network. I am convinced about combining our flexible EET Europe's sales and distribution model in combination with Avanti's portfolio."
