Economic 16ch NVR with local display

Taipei, Taiwan

Hiqview Corporation, a fast-growing brand in innovational IP surveillance solutions, has launched an economical and yet high-performance 16-channel local display network video recorder (NVR), the HIQ-3216.

Hiqview's HIQ-3216 NVR is a 16-channel NVR with dual monitors that support HDMI / VGA. The HIQ-3216 is qualified to fulfill various video central management, transfer, storage, playback and event alarm functions, etc. With a high level performance and high stability, the HIQ-3216 is suitable for various different business scales of surveillance system applications.

The HIQ-3216 is designed to manage up to 16 full HD IP cameras for 16CH full HD live view, and it supports multiple resolutions in 5MP / 3MP / 2MP / full HD / Megapixel / FD1 / CIF / QCIF. For local display, the HIQ-3216 supports 2 main compression formats: H.264 / MJPEG and is capable of excellent image output in 120fps@1080p. For recording and local display, the frame rate is up to 480fps@1080p. With this strong performance in both recording and local display, the HIQ-3216 has been engineered to reproduce quality video in its applications.

The HIQ-3216 NVR GUI (graphic user interface) is designed based on a "simple and friendly” principle. The 16-ch NVR can be operated by local UI (User Interface) and web UI (User Interface). With a local UI, users can use a USB mouse, keyboard, and joystick to operate system networking, setting, recording, and event management. Via a web UI through using web browsers on a personal computer or mobile devices (e.g., smart phones, tablets), users can easily set up and operate the HIQ-3216 from remote sites. This 16-ch NVR allows viewers to check the system flexibly when they need. And, more system functions, such as taking a snapshot, sending and receiving audio, as well as starting to record immediately and manually, etc. can be done with a single mouse-click both locally and remotely.

Google map is embedded into its web UI, allowing the HIQ-3216 to offer event alerts through Google Map. This feature provides instant event notification along with Hiqview’s IP cameras geographic information. Users can zoom in to a specific region to monitor events from cameras within the event-triggered region. If an event is triggered from a camera located outside the current viewing area, the Google map moves automatically to the area where the event trigger camera is located.

In addition, the HIQ-3216 NVR firmware can be upgraded easily by using a USB flash disk. Simply place the firmware file in a USB flash disk and plug it into the NVR, the system upgrade process starts automatically.

For the Hiqview standalone NVRs, Hiqview provides customers with Hiqview CMS (central management system) which is delivered bundled with the standalone NVRs. Hiqview CMS (Central Management System) is designed specifically for Hiqview’s standalone NVR series. As far as applications are concerned, the Hiqview CMS, is capable of fulfilling the requirements of small to larger business environments. One Hiqview CMS provides a maximum of 256 channels for users to easily monitor 16 NVRs through a web browser on a PC. Thus, two CMS can control up to 512 IP cameras while three CMS making up a system of up to 768 channels, and so on.

The CMS controls the NVRs, and the NVRs control the IP cameras, which means that when the three products are used in unison they form a complete IP surveillance solution.
