Databac to show eco friendly products at Ifsec

Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey (UK)

Visitors to the Databac stand at IFSEC 2011 will be able to learn about the very latest advances in identification, as well as the environmentally-friendly approach to ID. The stand will house a number of interactive displays on contactless, biometric and rewritable card technologies. Databac will give away sample bags containing recycled, biodegradable and ecologically-responsible cards and card wearing products, to show how plastic card usage can be respectful of the environment.
The stand will also feature the first UK public showing of Data Management’s TAB-Expiring Visitor Pass, an innovative range of self-expiring visitor labels. Easy, secure and disposable, the patented one-piece design speeds up visitor registration and leaves no waste or mess. Stand visitors will be able to take a sample with their details and watch the ‘magic’ within 24 hours.

Launched in the UK at last year’s IFSEC, Databac will be showing the latest version of the Saiwall Secure biometric terminal for access control. The high-tech palm vein reader, developed by Spanish manufacturer Saima Sistemas using Fujitsu technology, now features an integrated RFID reader. Using dual-technology verification, the system checks the palm vein pattern against the template held on the contactless card, for fraud-proof secure access to sensitive areas.

Fargo’s latest DTC1000 card printer will be demonstrating rewritable printing using Databac’s own Data Rewrite cards. This system can print, erase and reprint cards up to 400 times, using cards specially developed from thermo-rewrite material. When used for visitor management, it brings huge savings in plastic card usage. When used for loyalty and membership, it turns cards into marketing tools to communicate special offers and other messages.

Standard card printing and encoding will be presented using Datacard’s SD260 and SD360 printers, powered by Databac’s Dataimage Professional ID software. This will show the speed and efficiency of a full-colour card issuing station, with Mifare and iClass cards manufactured by Databac being printed and encoded in a matter of seconds.

In addition, Databac’s full range of RFID products will be on display, ranging from cards and wristbands to discs and event tags, with every kind of contactless technology (125KHz, 13.56MHz, UHF Gen2, multi-technology). Databac manufactures and supplies these incorporating transponder chips from Legic, Mifare, EM, Atmel, HID, ST and others, packed and shipped extra fast using Databac’s new rap-ID delivery service.
