Used as an external communicator for fire, intrusion and technical alarms, DALM5000 offers a highly secure and supervised alarm communication, primarily via a wired internet connection, and secondary by wireless GPRS. DALM5000 transfers alarms as TCP/IP, SMS or as e-mails. It can convert SIA level 1, 2 and 3 as well as Contact ID into IP protocol ACCESS V4 and transfers the alarm messages to multiple receivers, such as different alarm monitoring centres, emails and cellular phones. It also facilitates eight hardwired inputs and four remote controllable outputs.

The DALM5000 infrastructure also offers a bi directional communication, which enables the provider of the alarm system to offer the customers new services remotely.

Lennart Alexandrie, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Detektor International, played master of ceremonies at the prize-giving event at the International Stockholm Fair. Standing before the 750 security dinner guests, he clearly remarked on the advantages of DALM5000 as he expressed the motivation of the DIA panel of judges for choosing this product for this award: "This technological platform, with its infrastructure, clearly contributes to the beginning of the industry’s next business level, namely promoting security as a service".
