Dahua HDCVI PoC technology simplifies installation and reduces cost

Hangchou, China

With continuous and rapid innovation, Dahua Technology’s industry leading HDCVI technology aims to bring added values to the users, higher resolution, easier operation, etc. This latest development brings simplicity by introducing PoC technology into the company's HDCVI products and solutions.

Power over Coax (PoC) transmits both video and electrical power over a single coaxial cable, eliminates separate camera power supplies and further simplifies system deployment with true Plug & Play, benefiting Dahua customers and end users.

For installers, now that the complex power supply designing and heavy installation work are eliminated, the time and labour costs will be remarkably reduced. The HDCVI PoC system is also great in stability, as it provides constant power supply to cameras, saving on costs for future maintenance. In addition, HDCVI provides PoC cameras with power outputs which power nearby devices, further facilitating the installation.

For distributors or system integrators, the top-notch 400-metre/300-metre transmission distances for 2 megapixel/4 megapixel cameras on HDCVI PoC bring more project opportunities to them. For end users, they will find the system extremely easy to use. True ‘plug and play’ means there’s no configuration needed for camera connection whatsoever and power is available immediately.

Operational safety is enhanced with auto device identification and quick power-off strategy. When connected with unsupported devices or suffering short-circuits, the system immediately cuts off the power supply.

The HDCVI Lite series PoC cameras and PoC XVRs will be released soon, and product launch dates may vary depending upon on the country.
