Chilean real estate company relies on Airlive

Santiago, Chile

The Grupo Magal, developer of large building projects in the Chilean real estate market, relies on Airlive's IP video surveillance solutions to monitor the stores and buildings rented to their clients.
The area requiring surveillance coverage was made up of seven warehouses aligned over an area of 140 metres long by 60 meters wide, and included three corridors and two gates.

Due to the importance of surveillance and security of the goods stored in these large spaces, the integrator Ivar Michelena Viti from IP Ingeniería Ltda recommended the installation of four cameras: two Airlive FE-200VD and two Airlive POE-5010HD, at the warehouse Lampa I, Magal site.

The two Airlive FE-200VD were located at a height of 7 metres above the northeast and northwest corners of the warehouses with tailored extension arms. On the other hand, the two Airlive POE-5010HD were placed 15 metres away from the gates at 2 metres high with a 30 mm lens set.

In this project it was recommended to use fast Ethernet bandwidth to support all four IP cameras and guarantee network speed according to the video surveillance needs and monitoring in real time.

The integrator in charge of the project ensured that the POE-5010HD cameras were installed perfectly to obtain a clear record of for example, vehicle IDs, drivers' faces, the presence of passengers, and other details.

With the FE-200VD they obtain images of cars at 75 metres away from the camera. Across both cameras, the target moves away from one camera whilst it is approaching the other, so it is always possible to identify the vehicle during it transit. According to the project managers, the four Airlive cameras replaced eleven other models that had been proposed before by other integrators.

The monitoring distance also required installing switches in difficult areas of the warehouse. This problem was solved using discrete small sized and well ventilated enclosures.
