Canon highlights tailored solutions at Ifsec

Canon Europe, world-leader in imaging solutions, will be joined by partners Ganetec, Nedap, Netavis and Wavestore at Ifsec International to demonstrate the power of Canon technology working harmoniously with industry leading VMS systems. Canon will be showcasing its latest range of security solutions and demonstrating how the company works with partners to create tailored systems for customers.

Ifsec International will be the first time that Canon’s latest range of security solutions is displayed, including the newly developed high-end and low light network security cameras. Canon’s partners will also be showing the strength of their integrated solutions and highlighting joint capabilities in a wide variety of scenarios relevant to the latest industry demands and trends.

Julian Rutland, European NVS Marketing Director, Canon Europe comments, “Over the past year, we’ve been continuing to work extremely closely with our partners to bring high quality, effective solutions to market and we’re excited to be able to demonstrate these capabilities at this year’s Ifsec International. This is the seventh time we’ve exhibited at the show and each year the bar is set higher in terms of new technologies on show and the people we’re able to meet at the event. I’m sure this year will be no different.”

Canon’s new network cameras are ideal for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor environments, including retail, banking and finance, city surveillance and critical infrastructure monitoring. The Canon network camera range allows for simple integration with VMS platforms. This is key as the need for more reliable automated analysis becomes increasingly important for achieving true business benefits beyond security, such as site management and behaviour analytics. In retail, for example, Canon customers use analytics for queue management, store design optimisation and footfall monitoring.

“We joined forces with Canon with the aim of offering users additional business value generated by IP-video security infrastructure. The Netavis Observer video management software integrates perfectly with Canon’s hardware giving our customers a full solution.” said Thomas Rehberger, Senior Sales Manager at Netavis, who specialises in retail business intelligence. “At Ifsec International, we’ll be demonstrating how retail businesses in particular can benefit from our partnership.”

Jeroen van Dormolen, Business Development Manager at Nedap added: “Advanced analytics are becoming increasingly key for businesses in a range of sectors, from airports to banks. Ifsec is a great opportunity for us to show the power of our enhanced security management solution coupled with Canon’s high quality surveillance products.”

Live working demonstration areas at the event will highlight Canon’s high quality image offering and its broad range of technology propositions, including low light performance, wide angle of view, accurate colour reproduction, smart shade control (Auto-SSC), PTRZ remote camera configuration capability and inbuilt video analytics.
