Briefcam and Pivot 3 agree integration partnership

Neve Ilan, Israel

Briefcam, a developer and provider of video synopsis solutions for rapid reviewing, analysing and indexing of video, has come to an agreement on an integration partnership with Pivot 3, provider of unified storage and compute infrastructure solutions.
Briefcam Video Synopsis is an award-winning technology that summarises hours of events into a “brief” that takes just minutes to watch, whether online feed or offline archival footage.

Briefcam is being used successfully by law enforcement, campus security, retail loss prevention and other sectors in which hours of video are recorded but, up until now, were seldom, if ever, reviewed.

Pivot 3 delivers an innovative approach to video surveillance storage where server applications share storage hardware resources to reduce overall power and cooling. Since NVR servers drive up to 50 percent of power and cooling requirements, the benefits of eliminating physical servers are immediate.

"Briefcam provides unique functionality and cost savings as it reduces the manpower spent on video review," said Lee Caswell, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Pivot 3. “Our customer base can now leverage Briefcam to browse surveillance video footage in a matter of minutes instead of hours, resulting in a rapid return on investment.”

“We’re very pleased to announce Pivot 3 as our newest technology partner. Both our companies offer much-needed solutions that have been rapidly accepted by the security industry.” said Dror Irani, CEO of Briefcam. “Pivot 3 customers can now benefit from the ability to run Briefcam VS Online for on-site, timely investigation on a standardised hardware platform that’s optimised for the video environment.”

Irani added that the Pivot 3 partnership is in line with Briefcam's recently announced support for virtual machines that enables enterprise users to run VS Online on high-end, high channel count systems in a cost-effective, scalable manner.
