Brickcom launches 4MP vandal dome

Hsinchu, Taiwan

Brickcom, a leading IP surveillance solution supplier, has just launched a day/night 4 megapixel compact vandal dome network camera, the VD-E400Af.

The VD-E400Af includes a 1/3 inch progressive CMOS sensor and provides 4MP resolution video images. With a 2.3mm lens, this camera reaches up to 126 degrees angle of view. The built-in mechanical IR-cut filter can display true day and night images, and what is more, the IR illuminators radiate up to 20 metres for superior image quality. With WDR, it still maintains normal image brightness, exposure, and even clarity.

The VD-E400Af supports three codecs: H.264, MJPEG, MPEG4, and provides triple streams simultaneously, which benefit users not only in multi-tasking surveillance applications but also allocating the bandwidth to each stream to achieve suitable video resolution and quality. Additionally, there’s a built-in microphone for audio applications and a card slot which supports micro SD, SDHC, SDXC memory cards up to 128GB, so users can enjoy edge recording applications as well.

With Brickcom’s I-stream technology, as shown below, it can intelligently calculate and adjust the bitrate for defined interest regions and other unselected areas in order to optimise bandwidth usage and storage space. On the other hand, I-mode technology aims to provide customers with a more user-friendly interface - customers can easily select the suitable environment mode based on various circumstances without complex settings.

The VD-E400Af is also ONVIF-compliant, and so can simplify the integration and enhance interoperability for customers. With the IK10 vandal proof metal housing and IP66 waterproof outdoor enclosure  it can deliver stability to provide reliable and effective images in changeable weather conditions.
