Brickcom IP solution guards Argentine railway

Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Constitucion railway station in Buenos Aires serves an average of 200,000 people every day and as such requires a high-quality video surveillance system to safeguard its clients and staff. Miralo On Line SRL and Calidad Digital SRL teamed up to build an IP surveillance system utilising Brickom technology to provide an effective solution.
The Constitución railway station is a major railway station as well as a famous historic landmark in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since 1907, it has provided crowds of passengers and travellers with the railway service, city metro service and bus service, etc.

As there are so many people coming in and out of this station each day, a high-quality video surveillance system is essential for the Constitución railway station management to maintain the security and respond to any incidents quickly when it happens. The video surveillance system selected consists of 114 OB-100Ae outdoor bullet cameras, 46 FD-100Ae fixed dome cameras, and 12 OSD-040E outdoor speed dome cameras to fulfill the client’s demand. These cameras cover the central hall, platforms, terminals, and administration offices, so as to offer the management staff the visual access to the arrival and departure activities in these areas. This IP surveillance system is also a rather useful tool to prevent destruction and invations from vandals, and to keep the services smooth and highly available.

The OB-100Ae and FD-100Ae cameras are capable of delivering clear HD-grade video in the H.264 video compression. With PoE support, it is convenient and time-saving to connect and power the cameras. Both cameras are equipped with an ICR and IR LED and light sensor to adapt to the environment and provide the best day and night vision. The OB-100Ae is IP67 weather-proof and is designed for the outdoor environment. The OSD-040E outdoor speed dome camera comes with a powerful 36x optical zoom lens to provide clear close-up pictures of objects.

The OSD-040E, designed with the Sony Super HAD II CCD sensor and the Effio DSP, supports wide dynamic range (WDR) so that it deals well with the extremely changeable lighting conditions and displays an identifiable image when shooting the scenes in high contrast, backlight, glare, and light reflection. In addition, the privacy mask function of the OSD-040E offers the user the flexibility to mark out certain private areas that should not be monitored.

Furthermore, Brickcom’s popular Brickone Solution offers the BRC64 PC-based NVR and the PS-7242IL PoE switches along with the cameras to form a complete, hassle-free end-to-end solution. The one-stop-shopping service and high-quality technical support delivered by Brickcom, Miralo On Line SRL and Calidad Digital SRL together created the key to making this project a success.
