Brickcom IP cameras achieve UL certification

The Brickcom OB and VD Series cameras have gained UL certification under the UL60950-1 standard which applies to information technology equipment intended to be installed in an indoor and outdoor location. The UL mark and certificate demonstrate the quality in Brickcom cameras and help to enhance the value of the Brickcom brand worldwide.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is a product safety testing agency established in1894 which has developed more than 800 Standards for Safety for over 120 years. UL conducts safety and quality tests on a broad range of products, from fire doors to IP cameras. The laboratory provides a full spectrum of conformity and quality assessment services to manufacturers and other organisations.

Brickcom models that meet the UL 60950-1 standard are designed to be installed in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, CSA C22.1; CSA C22.2 No. 0; and the NEC, NFPA 70. The standard is also applicable to equipment designed to be installed in accordance with Article 645 of the NEC, NFPA 70 and the Standard for the Protection of Electronic Computer Data-Processing Equipment, NFPA 75, which requires particular installations for electrical appliance safety.
