Brickcom 64 channel security software supports Scallop Imaging

Hsinchu, Taiwan

Brickcom Corporation and Scallop Imaging have integrated the Brickcom PC based network video recorder BRC-64 software with Scallop's Digital WindowT D7-180 IP surveillance camera. This integration offers a flexible, cost-effective IP management and recording solution that combines the wireless expertise of Brickcom IP security software with the 180 degree undistorted field of view of the Scallop D7 180 surveillance camera.
The Brickcom BRC-64 software is an advanced PC-based network video recorder that allows users to manage up to 64 IP camera networks. Included free with each Brickcom security camera, the BRC-64 offers a cost-effective recording solution for any size IP surveillance system. With the support of megapixel resolution and H.264 compression, it minimizes bandwidth usage while offering optimal image viewing and recording quality. Other features include continuous, schedule, motion, and alarm recording options; E-Map monitor, and remote live view. The BRC-64 PC-NVR offers a flexible and user-friendly design that allows users to easily manage their surveillance system.

The Digital Window D7-180 seven-megapixel digital camera distributes the imaging task across multiple small image sensors that process over 100 megapixels per second to calibrate, synchronise and merge video in real time. The result is two simultaneous video streams: one 720p HD stream divided into a true 180 degree, non-fisheye, situational awareness window at 15 frames per second, plus up to four instantly repositionable zoom windows at full scene megapixel resolution at 15 fps; and full resolution capture of all seven megapixels at one fps.

The D7-180 security camera also features Power over Ethernet (PoE) and H.264 video compression, at a price comparable to three fixed megapixel wide-angle cameras. The security camera’s small footprint and undistorted field of view are said to be unique in the surveillance industry. Unlike conventional security cameras that employ de-warping techniques the D7 offers a seamless situational awareness window comprised of images captured by five (5) 1.3 megapixel sensors.

"Integrating Digital Window D7-180 cameras with Brickcom’s BRC-64 NVRs and software ensures businesses can easily and quickly deploy high-resolution IP camera networks, and manage them from a centralized console," said Peter Jones, President of Scallop Imaging. "This combination makes it easier for security personnel to monitor and record areas of interest, especially with robust motion detection, and likewise eases the support required from IT managers."

"We offer a wide variety of IP solutions for the surveillance industry that are designed for ease of use and affordability," said Ebony Huang, CEO and President of Brickcom. "This integration will offer our customers access to the combined advantages of our wired and wireless IP cameras and the 180 degree coverage offered by the Scallop D7 180."

Brickcom offers a wide range of megapixel IP network cameras, camera accessories, and networking equipment. Brickcom IP cameras are embedded with a high performance image sensor and CPU that supports H.264, MPEG-4, and MJPEG triple codec compression to provide high resolution real-time video. Brickcom products are designed to incorporate the best IP features, while offering a user-friendly design. The dual-band wireless video server WVS-01A, Cube WCB-100A, Fixed Box WFB-100A, and Bullet WOB-100A cameras offer a cost-effective solution for applications where cabling is difficult or costly to install. Through integration with the BRC-64, Brickcom cameras and Scallop Digital Window D7-180 can offer full surveillance coverage of any area.
