Bosch 1080P cameras for challenging conditions

Munich, Germany

The new 1080P HDR Dinion and Flexidome cameras from Bosch feature intelligent backlight compensation, adaptive noise reduction.
These new models are designed to deliver outstanding colour reproduction, exceptional image quality and a very wide tonal range, even under the most demanding lighting conditions.

Integrated, state-of-the-art Intelligent video analysis functionality enables more effective surveillance, while compression capabilities ensure minimum bandwidth requirements. A cast-aluminium enclosure withstands the equivalent of 55 kilograms (120 lbs) of force, making it ideal for vandal prone areas and outdoor use.

1080p HDR cameras use digital imaging technology to deliver remarkable image quality at all times, in both bright and dark environments. Even in high-contrast scenes, or when looking from dark locations into well-lit areas the devices deliver an exceptionally wide dynamic range, to capture more detail in both highlights and shadows. The true day/night cameras deliver images in colour or monochrome and switch automatically between the two modes depending on the illumination level. Either mode can also be selected manually via the alarm input, or remotely via a web browser.

Outstanding image quality is complemented by the integrated HD-optimised intelligent video analysis and image processing. Important details such as specific objects, license plates or faces are detected automatically and the scene exposure level is adjusted accordingly to increase the usability of the results. To further enhance effectiveness ‘region of interest’ can be defined. This allows zooming into certain details of the full image. The close-up images are transmitted in a separate stream so that both overview and detail can be viewed at the same time – and all in high resolution. Furthermore, the cameras come with a choice of telephoto, mid-range, and ultra wide-angle lenses, helping to create tailored solutions for unique requirements.

While delivering highly professional results, Bosch’s 1080p HDR cameras are easy to install, operate and maintain. Three power options, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), 24 VAC and 12 VDC are available. To increase system reliability, the cameras can be simultaneously connected to both PoE and 12 VDC/24 VAC supplies. To ensure that the technology of the 1080p HDR cameras remains state-of-the-art, remote upgrades are possible whenever new firmware becomes available. An intuitive user interface allows fast and easy configuration over IP to ensure smooth operations. The installation and configuration is supported by the Bosch video client software which is delivered free-of-charge with any HD camera. It also provides easy live viewing of multiple cameras, playback, forensic search and export.

For multiple camera surveillance set-ups, the interoperability of various devices is a crucial factor to ensure cost-efficiency and functioning of the devices. All 1080p HDR cameras conform to the ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) which guarantees interoperability between network video products regardless of the manufacturer. ONVIF conformant devices are able to exchange live video, audio, metadata and control information. They are automatically discovered and connected to network applications such as video management systems.
