The AXIS 212 PTZ Network Camera, from AXIS Communications has received the prestigious award, "The Best CCTV Product 2006," by Detektor, the leading security technology trade magazine for the EMEA market.

The winners of this year's Detektor International Awards were honored at the security industry gala dinner at the Scandic Copenhagen Hotel in conjunction with the opening day of the Sectech Exhibition and Conference in the Danish capital on the 8th November. In total, 12 security products were nominated in the categories of CCTV, Alarm and Access Control products. The dinner was attended by 130 security professionals.
The Detektor International Awards were introduced seven years ago to honor the manufacturers who have contributed with innovative, original and/or new technological development, designs and products to the industry. User friendliness or other values of importance to the end user / operator are additional factors taken into account by the jury in the prize judging process. In the IMS Research survey "Security Media Brand Awareness 2005", Detektor International topped the list of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) market players, as the most well known and regularly read, printed security publication and this top position gives the Detektor International Awards incomparable prestige.
