The NX Surveillance over IP range includes options for an NVR, IP cameras, and software. The SR series mini NVR from the NX Surveillance line is an embedded system with Linux OS. Compared to a PC-based NVR, the embedded SR-series solution provides the substantial benefits of improved stability, higher immunity against virus attacks, and in addition it is a much smaller size, consumes less power and all at a lower cost.

The NX Surveillance IP cameras are built with the most up-to-date H.264 compression, 2-way audio, motion detection and DI / DO functions. The speed dome includes a CCD sensor for extreme-low light conditions and most other models have a built-in 2-mega pixel high resolution imaging sensor. All models included in the E-line are incorporated with a PoE switch for single cable installation and remote power management, plus an ICR function which allows true night-view capability with the assistance of IR illuminator.

These NX Surveillance IP cameras are designed for IP network surveillance, particularly to work alongside the NVR system (both PoE or Wi-Fi models) and Octa software to provide real-time security surveillance and management to multiple-site applications from work places to homes. The E-line series of cameras includes models to meet a variety of different requirements and challenges, and is mainly for business use whilst the W-line has been designed for lighter users, such as single operator businesses and home owners.

The Octa software in the NX Surveillance range is created to work with Wifi and PoE systems to provide live surveillance to either multiple sites or a single site through WAN and LAN. The Octa software is capable of linking and managing up to 32 cameras from 8 systems of Wifi or PoE. The OCTA is designed in one simple version for all activities required for building and operating an IP surveillance system in order to minimize the training required for the users. The Octa software adopts a largely icon based configuration as a UI with pre-defined options for functions, enabling installers and users to benefit from a simple click of a mouse or just a touch (touch screen monitor required) for most of their setup and operating needs.
