Basler cameras compatible with 360 panmorph lens

Ahrensburg, Germany

Basler's 1.3 megapixel IP camera is now compatible with the ImmerVision 360° panomorph lens. This ImmerVision lens allows a complete overview of the entire surveillance scene.

ImmerVision's unique 360º panomorph optics technology combines 360° panomorph lenses and immersive viewing functionality. With this technology, "blind spots" in a video surveillance situation are eliminated and the reaction time of first responders is improved. In addition to the 360° immersive overview, the user can select different viewing angles to have a closer look at specific image areas.

The combination of a Basler IP Camera and an ImmerVision 360° panomorph lens is supported by a number of video management system providers, including Aimetis, Artec, OnSSI, Lenel, and NUUO.

"The ImmerVision 360° panomorph lens is very robust and the fact that it has no moving parts is a major advantage over standard PTZ domes," said Gerrit Schreiber, Product Manager for IP Components at Basler Vision Technologies. "The compatibility of our BIP-1300c-dn model with the ImmerVision lens offers our customers a whole new range of applications."

"The BIP-1300c-dn camera has both a compact design and excellent image quality. Adding the ImmerVision 360° panomorph lens to this highly reliable product provides major benefits to end users including the ability to see everything around them, to heighten situational awareness, and to record the entire event in a 360° panoramic view," said Frederick Landry, ImmerVision senior product manager - Video Surveillance Applications.
