The total installation order is estimated at about 5,000 network cameras, with the potential for additional installations. The installation phase will begin during autumn 2007 and is expected to be fully delivered by the end of 2009.

The network camera Axis 209MFD is only four centimeters high and is easy to install on ceilings and walls and offers the advantage of megapixel resolution, making it possible to view image details needed for identifying individuals and objects of interest. Equipped with Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability, the network camera uses one Ethernet cable for both power and video, making installation quick and cost efficient. The Axis 290MFD also provides the possibility of integrating of other components in a security system.

The system integrator RUF Telematik AG secured the order for the total security installation. RUF is a partner to Axis and a highly regarded company in the area of security solutions and network camera surveillance.
