Aimetis Symphony provides the airport with a single platform for upgrading the existing analogue CCTV system to operate over an IP network, as well as providing a scalable system to easily add new network cameras to the airport as needed.

Initially, Perth Airport will install Aimetis Symphony to 570 new and existing analogue and IP cameras, with approximately 20 per cent of cameras running Aimetis video analytics. The number of cameras is estimated to expand significantly, as the airport redevelopment unfolds and growth continues.

Perth Airport is one of the largest airports in Australia, handling more than 13 million passengers each year. Built in the early 1940s, there are more than 8,000 staff employed across the Perth Airport estate, with more than 120 tenants and retailers.
