Anti-vandal smart card reader from Rosslare

Rosh Ha'Ayin, Israel

Rosslare Security unveils the first smart card reader to encase smart card Mifare technology into an anti-vandal metal body, creating a patented encasement that combines advanced access control with added protection.

The AY-Q6250 contactless unit and its keypad version - the AY-Q6350 represent Rosslare's latest addition to the Mifare card readers series. The units provide next generation smart card reading by offering all the benefits of Mifare cards serial ID reading to any standard access control system. They are gaining recognition for their ability to read the Mifare format through 13.56 MHz cards at a range stretching up to 45mm (1.8") as well as their seven programmable output formats.

"We're providing our customers with a complete secure smart card reader solution that leverages Mifare technology to deliver smarter access control while ensuring uncompromised reliability, resilience and style," says Eli Haggag, VP marketing, Rosslare Security "The affordably priced readers represent the smart way for a simple yet secure card upgrade", he adds.

The AY-Q6350 produces an extra security level through a password-protected menu, an optical tamper sensor for wall tamper detection and a card and PIN mode. It also features a local menu for programming a facility code and a high-security option of "PIN plus card". Being epoxy potted, these water-resistant units are fully sealed within an all-metallic case for improved performance in all weather conditions.

The AY-Q6350 anti-vandal Mifare smartcard reader version has been developed for installations where style, security and functionality rank high in priority. It comes with stylish blue backlit keys, a 3x4 keypad and a door bell key function.
