AMG to showcase wide range of new products at Ifsec India

London, UK

AMG Systems Ltd. will be showcasing a wide range of new transmission products at Ifsec India later this week at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
Among the products to be shown is the new AMG 5100 series for low cost, point-to-point single channel transmission of high definition SD/HD–SDI video and audio over singlemode fibre.

Ms Sheetal Shanbhag, Country Manager for AMG Systems in India says, “AMG Systems have already completed a large number of projects in India and recently we have noted particular interest for our managed and unmanaged ethernet switches. Therefore we are taking the opportunity to launch our latest product range which includes the market’s first 30 watt power over ethernet plus (PoE+) products – enough to power a PTZ camera, to the Indian market, at Ifsec India. The new products cover a range of single fibre media converter applications catering to projects where the number of fibres available are at a premium. The ethernet range offers both industrial and commercial strength PoE+ switches and media converters delivering 30 watts per port.”

“We will also be demonstrating the new AMG 5100 series 3G HD/SD-SDI product for video and audio which has been specifically developed for transmission of high definition video with associated audio over singlemode fibre. It provides low cost, high quality transmission of uncompressed, broadcast quality digital video signals with an option for embedded audio and/or time code. The SDI transmission product has been developed to cater to the broadcast industry where the primary goal is the highest possible video and audio quality, and also to deal with demands for transmission of SDI video from a growing number of CCTV cameras coming to market, over far greater distances than can be achieved over the standard coaxial cable interface.”

Also on show will be AMG’s Skywave II, for wireless video and ethernet transmission, a new digital IP wireless system based on 802.11 WLAN technology. Skywave II is ideal for projects where you have a transmission section without fibre. This could for example be on a section of a highway where there is no ready access to fibre, which is often the case in urban areas.
