All-Over-IP puts spotlight on Moscow

Top ICT managers from Moscow Metro, Moscow IT Department and Moscow Traffic Management Centre are speaking at the Smart City Conference which forms part of the All-over-IP Expo 2015, November 18-19 November in Moscow.

Together with Moscow Department of Transport and leading local mobile operators, Moscow Metro has launched the Mobile Ticket service that enables people to buy tickets on their mobile devices. Moscow Metro Head of Emission Department Zhanna Ermolina will share experience, talking about one of the first significant NFC deployments in Russia and key factors in NFC adoption.

In terms of Moscow City surveillance improvements, there were over 143,000 surveillance cameras installed in public spaces around Moscow by 2015. Most of these cameras monitor entryways, courtyards, motorways and public squares. In the meantime, leading Moscow Internet providers no more offer broadband services that leverage less than 10Mbps Ethernet. Moscow IT Department officers will report on city surveillance improvements and future plans.

Moscow Traffic Management is also making progress. Moscow authorities claim 25% reduction of road accidents due to traffic surveillance systems. By the end of 2015, around 400 new speed cameras are to be installed to manage traffic flow in the city. Moscow Traffic Management Centre authorities will speak on the way city surveillance coud be leveraged for traffic control.

Global Access Control, ICT and Video Surveillance vendors will be meeting to educate and meet up with significant local customers at the 4th Smart City Conference.
