It is widely understood that the reliability of cameras in a system depends greatly on sufficient power being supplied to them. And when the number of cameras in a system is continually increasing then it becomes more and more difficult to trouble shoot the system network. Airlive's Topology PoE Gigabit switch series has been designed specifically for IP surveillance applications.
The Auto Topology of these Airlive devices will automatically map out the system chart and provides the user with the benefit of being able to clearly see how the system IP cameras are configured. With a graphical-based electronic map function, the Airlive Topology PoE switches are able to import the local floor plan in order to allocate camera icons onto it for system management. In addition, users can also link the electrical map to Google Map for the installations city-wide and/or nationwide.
These PoE switches support ONVIF Live Viewing. Airlive has added the Live View function to the new series of PoE Gigabit switches so that they fully support ONVIF-compliant IP cameras. Further, Airlive has developed a Device Guard function for these switches; this allows them to record the status of the IP cameras that are connected at all times and also to reboot any of them when a crash or failure is detected. With these handy functions, users can quickly diagnose anything from a single camera to a big system on the topology diagram, floorplan, or google map, as well as check a live view by clicking a camera on the map(s).
This new generation of intelligent Topology PoE switches are an ideal addition to the latest network equipment, and enable modern SMBs to managing their systems more efficiently.
