Airlive secures water supply company

Taipei, Taiwan

Airlive, a leading brand and provider in wireless networking and IP surveillance solutions, has recently completed a successful case helping to protect a national water supply infrastructure.

The project was for the District Water Supply and Sewage in Brzesko, Poland, the legal authorities in charge of the District Water and Sewage for the area.  It is located in an area that covers the provision of water to residents of three municipalities – Brzesko, Wojnicz and Debno.

The main objectives were to prevent cases and areas of bullying (inside and outside ) and to monitor people, especially employees and customers. On the other hand, the important thing was to monitor all cars coming in to the company area and into the garages, with the possibility of being able to check licence plates as a specific requirement of the system.

The aim was for the monitoring system to provide the ability to programme audio messages upon the occurrence of an event inside the building, plus to help prevent damage and graffiti and to prevent people from putting up posters outside of the establishment. The images from the IP cameras needed to be recorded both day and night, so it was a requirement that all the cameras should have night time functionality. They also required to zoom in on cash desks with a wide angle lens and it was essential that all the indoor cameras should be of a vanda proof nature.

In order to achieve high quality video, two models of the Airlive IP cameras were chosen.    The Airlive BU-3025 provides monitoring outdoor 24 hours, even under adverse weather conditions, and with a high-resolution CMOS sensor with infrared LEDs that offers a large range of 25 metres. The Airlive OD-2050HD, beacause of its IP66 vandal proof housing, is chosen for the outdoor installation. This camera also supports WDR and an auto-changeable IR filter (ICR), helping to provide superior day/night performance. The OD-2050HD provides smoother video quality with more detailed images.  With a 3-9 mm varifocal lens, the viewing angle of the camera covers from 120° to 40° (horizontal); this is a very important feature for monitoring areas such as the cashier counter, where there is a requirement for higher security. The IP66 rating and vandal-proof housing features enhance the system performance and endurance.

Additionally, the Airlive NVR, Core NVR 16, is used to support up to 4 megapixel resolution for IP cameras with H.264 video codec for high quality, real-time monitoring, recording and playback.

For the system configuration and internet connection, all Airlive IP cameras and the Core NVR system were connected to POE-GSH 2004L-370 that supports a device guard function and provides easier manageability, security and QoS.

Airlive cameras provide 3 megapixel high definition resolution at 25 frames per second and 1080P at 30 frames per second - enough to have an effective result even with zoom. There are a total of 10 pcs of outdoor IP cameras installed to monitor the whole of the outside area including: entrances, parking places, garages and all building sites. The full monitoring system is now solving all the company needs inside and outside the building.
