Aimetis launches native facial recognition analytics

Waterloo, Canada

Aimetis is releasing its native Face Recognition video analytic that seamlessly integrates with the Aimetis Symphony video management software.

Aimetis Face Recognition is ideally suited for securing facilities that require an additional layer of protection for access control as well as real-time detection of persons of interest. Searching for individuals can also be augmented by leveraging Face Recognition with Aimetis Symphony.

Aimetis Face Recognition is reliable in real-world scenarios where monitoring conditions are challenging. It is designed to look past common differences in viewpoint, expression, and lighting conditions to recognise the underlying shape of a face. The focus on the 3D shape of a face strengthens the analytic against challenges such as changes in facial hair and glasses.

“After listening to our customers, we understand the importance of having Face Recognition delivered as a native video analytic with Aimetis Symphony 7,” said Justin Schorn, Vice President of Product Management at Aimetis. “By having one platform that tracks, identifies, and registers persons of interest, security operators no longer need to switch back and forth between applications. Aimetis Symphony leverages Face Recognition in many aspects of the product, including search, real-time alarming, and reporting.”
