Advanced Security Solution for the new Emirates' Engineering Centre

DUBAI, U.A.E.

Cieffe, this years winner of the Best Overall Product award at IFSEC, the worlds largest security conference, has recently been awarded the prestigious contract to provide a turnkey security solution for Emirates Airline's new Engineering Centre, in partnership with Transguard Group.

The contract award covers the supply, installation and maintenance of a sophisticated and integrated close-circuit television (CCTV) monitoring system, for the new AED 1 Billion Dirham facility at Dubai International Airport.
Dr Abdulla Al Hashimi, Senior Vice President, Emirates Group Security said: "The flexible and robust Cieffe system fits our criteria, and has the capabilities to satisfy the dynamic and ever-increasing security requirements of the fast-growing Emirates Group."
Emirates' new engineering centre will become one of the largest civil aviation maintenance facilities in the world. Eight enormous aircraft hangers will cater to Emirates' entire aircraft fleet, including the new massive Airbus A380s. These hangars are at the heart of a large complex that also comprises an office administration block, an aircraft washing bay, a waste treatment plant, a mosque, and covered car park for 2,000 cars. There will also be a gate house through which all staff, visitors and vehicles will pass by Police Control.
"This is the biggest building project undertaken by the Emirates Group thus far, and we are delighted to have been entrusted with the security system contract," said Simon Precious, Director of the Solutions Division of the Transguard Group."
"In keeping with the strict technical and performance requirements demanded by Emirates Group Security, we provide a comprehensive security system that capitalises on the very latest CCTV technology, and make full use of a dedicated fibre optic network to transmit video, telemetry and data over long distances in real time."
Matthew Terrey, Cieffe's Middle East Project Manager says: "The effective management of critical security information is a complex process, and having a high-performance software platform is essential for control room operators to be able to react quickly to any event or incident. Cieffe's security surveillance software system meets these criteria, and boasts a proven track record. In addition, the software has an open architecture which will cater for future expansion of the CCTV system."
Site Manager - the Cieffe Software platform - integrates each component of the security system and presents information from any of the deployed equipment on a single screen. For instance, the CCTV Monitor module allows control room operators to connect, manage and view video images from different equipment, regardless of its make. The images can be viewed simultaneously on a dedicated portion of a screen whilst other operators are viewing other data at the same time.
