ACTi cameras deployed at Beijing capital international airport

Beijing, China

ACTi IP cameras have been deployed at Beijing capital international airport terminal 2. The project covers other security applications which are provided by TDI, a solution provider on alarm systems and network management. With the installation of this system, it largely improves the safety of all passengers.

Beijing capital international airport is an aviation gateway for Beijing and a window for international communication. The terminal 2 of this airport is able to handle 26,500,000 passengers yearly and 9,210 passengers at peak hours. Owing to the crucial geographic location of Beijing capital international airport, 66 domestic and foreign airline companies are participating in the operational business, including 11 domestic companies and 55 foreign companies. More than 5,000 scheduled flights are available to 88 cities in China and 69 cities abroad.

The host of this project perceived several key benefits from the ACTi's IP camera as compared with the older CCTV system and other different IP cameras especially on video quality and network system since ACTi's IP cameras are able to provide full D1 resolution with a bandwidth of only 1.2M. The security system in the airport is composed of 120 CAM-7200 from ACTi and its streaming activator for monitoring purpose. The airport has already now installed 44 ACTi CAM-7200. Leveraging the current network resource of the airport and alarm system from TDI, the security management becomes more convenient and simple. The installer mentioned that IP camera's installation is very easy and avoids the trouble normally caused by analog camera system for distant monitoring.

Beijing capital international airport is another milestone for ACTi in the IP surveillance industry after successfully providing its solutions in Scotland's Glasgow Prestwick airport.
