The logistics centre built on an area of 50 acres in Westport, Port Klang Malaysia, offers a complete range of value-added logistics solutions and is supported by an IT system comprising of modular operating system linked together by a web based integrated supply chain execution and visibility systems providing linkage to customers' ERP solutions. The regional hub offers 31,000 pallet positions in its dry, cold and chilled area is link with sea, air and rail mode of transportation.

MILS chose an IP-based surveillance solution given the extensive fiber-network available. EKTECH Consulting Sdn Bhd of Malaysia together with their SI Partner Intelligent-Techno implemented a CCTV surveillance system using IP speed domes and cameras.

MILS technical team chose ACTi cameras and Aimetis intelligent video management software over other competitors because of the quality and extensive product range that ACTi has whilst Aimetis aira professional edition provided accurate intelligent video analysis of the area and auto-tracking capabilities.

A total of 51 cameras were installed with 25 units of ACTi Cam6220 speed dome and 26 units ACTi POE CAM7201 mini-dome. Aimtetis aira professional edition provides video management, mapping, storage and intelligent video analysis of the facility. The integration was seamless allowing the users to view the entire area and record all activities accurately. ACTi cameras were chosen over others because of the availability of IP speed domes and POE mini-domes. ACTi video quality at D1 resolution and real-time and Mpeg-ASP Compression was good. Aimetis aira provides easy video management and storage and with the intelligent video system allows accurate processing of objects thus reducing unnecessary recording and false alarms.
